Writer or author, surely, not artist. I guess its easy to assume most people will have heard of him if you are in anyway into comics since he's been pretty damn important to the medium...

But not all of us are into comics . . . so his name rings no bells. I don't think it's ignorance to be unknowedgeable about things you aren't drawn to.

Well, if it was a name like Isumi Matsumoto or Akira Toriyama, it'd get my attention a bit more than, say, mentioning Stan Lee to me. @_@
