At Kirsty's prodding, and to bring some scientific rigour into what was previously blanket statements along the lines of "They're mad! The lot of them!!!", here's a poll.
One of those folks highly susceptible to such stimulants, eh? I had a roommate like that once. He went out for coffee with me and drank 1 for 1 . . . which meant two double espressos, a couple of strong Americanos, another double . . . he ended up pale and not right in the head and hung over the next morning.
I drink two pots of French pressed (strong) coffee in the morning . . . have to drink the third to get the shakes.
...which is fine, except that if I want a buzz it takes great effort. Easy for you to achieve it.
st.john's wort really is very potent. Apparently it might become a prescribed drug because it's a herb that actually works, but also because it interferes with a good number of prescribed drugs, i.e. some anti-depressants, and the pill.
I was actually on antipsychotics at one point. It, uh, wasn't good. They made me odd and nothing like myself. It was a trauma that actually kicked me back into sanity... the cure was knowing that no matter how crazy I was, and no matter how entitled I might be to have a break, no one will ever really take care of you in the way that you need. Especially during a crisis. Fortunately, I lived.
Hey, I had the pleasure of taking Zoloft for a while. Not pleasure. In my case, it did the opposite of what it was supposed to. My usually peaceful, all-loving self became incredibly hateful and my thought process became progressively more & more focussed on homicide.
I took myself off of it for that reason. I decided depression & anxiety were better, and just dealt with that for a while.

Re:
