My maternal line is the H6a1 haplogroup, which originated in Turkey/Syria, and then spread into Europe, largely into the Urals, before extending across Europe.
My paternal line is G2c* - originating in the Caucuses, and then spreading across to Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, although also across chunks of Europe.
I am also 2.9% Neanderthal. Meaning that only 16% of people are neanderthaler than me.
I am at increased risk of Atrial Fibrillation (34% vs 27%), Prostate Cancer (25% vs 18%) and Chronic Kidney Disease (5% vs 3.5%).
On the other hand, I am at reduced risk of Coronary Heart Disease (37% versus 47%), Type 2 Diabetes (20% vs 26%), Psoriasis (7% vs 11%) and Alzheimer's (5% vs 7%).
I am less sensitive to bitter flavours, have curly hair, and my eyes are probably brown. I am likely intolerant to lactose, and not resistant to malaria or HIV.
My telomeres are the equivalent of someone 4 years older than I am.
I am similar to people from Poland and the Ukraine.
