Symbian's still outselling Windows? It's what, a year after the Lumia launched and nearly 2 years since they announced they'd discontinue it?

Yowsers (and I still rate it highly, shame no one's making stuff for it)

Globally? Quite a few, they launched a follow up/upgrade for the N8 this time last year, incredibly high specced running the last version of Symbian, it wasn't released in the UK, the carriers didn't want it, but it got released in other markets.

Plus you've got the lower end of the contract market and last-years-model paygo deals, etc. Symbian was always very big in some markets that other phones never took off in.

So having Symbian still selling a bit doesn't surprised me, what does is windows selling as little as it does, it should be at 10% by now.

Admittedly, James hates his Lumia and it doesn't even have basic built in functionality-to set a ringtone you have to convert an MP3 into a special filetype on a computer &c, it's really badly finished-awesome hardware, just weird software choices.

Anyway, I have to go to bed now, before I get sucked into watching the film I'm recording.
