Date: 2012-02-05 11:11 am (UTC)Yeah, but demographically we're stuffed. With the live-people TFR so low, the ranks of the dead will soon be rising faster than the ranks of the living. And when the War comes, every fatality on our side is a new recruit to theirs. Replacement rate: one instant, vs about 16 years or more on ours, with impairment to frontline fighting capability during that time. We can only lose a war of attrition, so will have to hit hard and fast.
