Those economic graphs: What you see there is the destruction of union power in the 1980s, with inflation caused by the wage/price spiral being the excuse to destroy them.

Inflation is not so bad if your income is pegged to the cost of living. It can be bad though for some kinds of assets.

"Facebook is Evil": As a general rule, all middlepeople are evil. And those who aren't will generally be muscled out by those who are when there's money to be made from the service being provided.

The pods at LHR were supposed to have been up and running when Terminal 5 opened. I don;t think car manufacturers have anything to worry about.

It's over budget because they deliberately left out several major costs from the original headline budget figure to make it easier to persuade people it was worth doing.

Great Regression, not recession. An important distinction because it shows that even when the economy was doing well, people weren't benefitting from it.
