Dear Game Developers
Sep. 7th, 2011 04:17 pmIf you are going to have save points, rather than letting me save my game
wherever I fancy, then please place them _after_ the cut scene that leads
into the fight, not before it.
(This post brought to you by incredibly frustration with Bayonetta, where
the save points are frequently before a short walk, then a cut scene.
Which means that death causing a loading screen, then a short walk, then
another loading screen to get you to the cutscene, then another loading
screen to get you into the actual fight that you've already died in 15
times.)

Date: 2011-09-07 05:39 pm (UTC)Sometimes, it saves after the cut scene. Sometimes, it saves before the cut scene. Sometimes it reloads before it even though I saw it save afterwards, and vice versa.
Worse, it's an incredibly annoying cut scene that pisses me off, has a massive plot hole and involves an annoying 'breach' scene immediately afterwards that needs a different style of gameplay to the rest of the level.
I suspect one of the reasons I cannot get through that level is because of the damn cut scene annoying me.
It's a shame, as the rest of the game is brilliant-no idea about the game after that point though, never yet got to it.

Date: 2011-09-07 07:30 pm (UTC)In previous generations of consoles, there were good technological reasons. Now, when the two major consoles both come with hard disks, there's no excuse. Hell, there should even be a quicksave button on the controller.
