the Republican thing has been obvious for quite some time, but made all the more frustrating by Obama starting off with a super-majority. He *could* have ruled Like A Democrat, but pissed it away....

trying to get Republicans on side. When he didn't need to. At all.

it is by far the most disappointing aspect of his Presidency, and, well, everyone knows it. And now he seems to have figured it out himself, only a couple of years too late, when he does need them onside to get anything done.


what i find curious about the tone of this report, though, is it strongly suggests that Republicans know they are, essentially, wrong - but are interested only in power, rather than using it wisely. This, again, is wholley insurprising but nice to see someone actually point it out.
