I seem to have emailed this to myself in February to watch:

I have no idea what the original context was, but apparently it was a short film shown before 1984 at the cinema in the UK.

It's...odd.

Ah yes, Skywhales.

I saw that as a kid, and the memory of it survived, divorced from context, just the broad stuff that happened and a number of images of it. For years, I wasn't sure if it was real, or a dream I'd had.

Then I described it inexpertly, and within a few hours a friend had found it.

The original context was probably me. I'd been looking for that for years, and found it a few months ago and posted it everywhere; it made a *huge* impression on my brother and I when we were growing up, and he'd asked me to find it for him.

And I love it as much as I did when I was eight.
