So. That was the best episode this season. I was worried that the stagey weirdness of Aunty and Uncle was going to be very offputting, but they were barely in it and most of the episode was just fantastic. Particularly Suranne Jones, who hit just the right tone.

I'm now wondering what was cut from the episode, or cut down, because the budget was too high.

Some days I feel the time difference more than others. ~fumes~

I'll look forward to it.

It made me cry like the last part of The Iron Giant when the giant says "You stay. I go. No following."

I can't wait to see it again.

Yeah. I lost it there also but was already sniffling from the "You stay" bit so it was just a value add.

Guess I'm re-watching that today also

*hugs* in advance, then.

First time I watched that was with a roomful of mid-20s guys. Dusty room.

Aunty and Uncle were absolutely typical Gaiman characters. And yes, fantastic episode.

Suranne was so perfect. I can't imagine anyone else getting the character so right :)

My overriding thought was that Neil Gaiman went out of his way to write Doctor-TARDIS slash.

The Much mentioned swimming pool was apparently cut from the script...

Ten minutes after watching this I'm like "holy fucking shit!" There's so much here to think about-which makes it a brilliant episode. Aunty and Uncle weren't around long enough to be annoying, and Cousin was really just a waste. Suranne Jones was perfect, picking up Smith's Doctor's ticks and vocal play. There's so much here to think about...

Yes, spoilers

So the riddle at the end?

I've always thought that when we find out about who River Song "really is", it's going to take us right back to the Silence In The Library episode.

Part 2 of that story was "Forest Of The Dead"

No spoilers

By the way, I watched the Tom Baker episode "The Invasion Of Time" recently and can confirm that the TARDIS swimming pool has definitely been shown at least once.
