Someone recently postulated that it's the remnants of or return of the DDoS attack that's been going on for a couple of days, but I've got nothing firm on that.
Status.livejournal.com was reporting "technical issues" for me (with some very odd timestamps, some of which were apparently from the future if I did the time zone correction properly) for pretty much the whole day.
-- Steve wouldn't be surprised about a series of DDOS, given that they've finally cleaned house on the spam accounts and are likely facing spammer retribution.
For some of us, "day" = "year" in regard to Issues. I.e., people have requested me to "Friend" them, but LJ doesn't allow my browser to do it. (Yes, it's an antiquated browser, but then... I'm an antiquated person.) Grumpf.
