Computer games have come a long way since Space Invaders

A gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3. Which looks, to be honest, better than any movie computer special effects did ten years ago. The gameplay looks pretty standard for that kind of game, but the graphics are just outstanding. We're clearly over the uncanny valley, and working our way towards fidelity.

That looks brilliant. Interestingly another upcoming game, Homefront, also deals with a future history war. Wonder if that'll be the new thing with First Person Shooters?
