I used to work with a Homeopathist. She was a lovely woman, I liked her an awful lot. She was also by far the busiest adjointed practitioner at the Centre where I worked. This appalled me. I was highly vocal about it. I was eventually asked by the business owner [not a Homeopathist, but a highly experienced Shiatsu practitioner] to shut the fuck up. I was not terribly unhappy to leave.
A lot of people have told me they think Shiatsu is also a total scam. I've responded by giving them free treatments. Almost all changed their minds *because as a physical massage, it's really nice*.

'Balanced' coverage annoys the shit out of me. As does the BBC's increasingly nausea-inducing impartiality, which now manifests as not bothering to mention known facts when when reporting total bs.

Oh yeah, Civil Engineer isn't a protected term either. It's not illegal to claim to be one, it just means an employer can sue you for lying to them if you turn out not to be one.

at least two American semi-recent bridges have collapsed, having been designed my men who were not actually Civil Engineers. The design flaws were obvious enough that I spotted them relatively quickly.
