Hmm, yeah, Eternal Sunshine was far better wasn't it?

I definitely enjoyed it a lot more (once I saw it on TV, where I didn't feel nauseous all the time from the handicam).

Inception struck me as trying to be terribly clever, and not being half as clever as it thought it was.

I maybe didn't give Eternal Sunshine a fair chance, but I didn't really get what was interesting about it. I felt it _ought_ to have been interesting, but...

If your girlfriend does something stupid to you, doing the same thing to her doesn't typically help. But fortunately, an unrelated plot thread undoes both things so you can go right back to where you started.

I think that was pretty much the point - that sometimes things go around and around in circles, and that much as we'd like to be able to not have experienced things, this would just lead us back to where we had been in the first place.

I certainly didn't see it as saying that removing memories was a good thing, quite the opposite.
