Dalglivk did her public health project on public perceptions and knowledge on MMR while studying medicine and the results were, frankly, shocking. There was an inordinate amount of doubt and confusion and many parents were ironically 'playing it safe' by not immunising their children.

As the article on MMR states, we've yet to see the outcome of a large chunk of a generation of kids affected by the preposterous MMR scare perpetrated by Wakefield and spread by an ignorant and greedy media.

Our children are immunised.

Isn't that true of everyone? I certainly concentrate hugely better on interesting things.

It's a matter of degree. You _can_ concentrate on dull things if you put your mind to it. People with ADHD lack that facility.

I find myself strangely pleased to hear that Games Workshop are having trouble - even though some teenage boys of my acquaintance will be upset if they go under. I still remember how they became a near-monopoly of games stores in the early 1980s, and then decided to stop selling any games other than their own range - which would be targeted exclusively at teenage boys. They really b*ggered up the gaming hobby in this country, and apparently I've never forgiven them.

Yeah, they had a habit of spotting which stores were doing well selling their games, and then setting up one of their own stores very close by.

And because they were also one of the biggest distributors of games in general, people didn't have much choice but to deal with them.
