Radcliffe = naturally charming
Grint = utter dork

Radcliffe? Really? He appears to be gurning from the effort required to levitate.

I feel a game of "shag/marry/cliff" coming on.

Or, alternatively, a re-worked script for "I look down on him, because..."

Why is it the few and far between actresses who do chop all their hair off never really suit it? (With one or two notable exceptions.)

Really? I quite like it.

I don't know who these people are and the labels you're applying are difficult to attribute to any of them. I'm guessing the highly styled is the woman?

Oh, I saw half of one, decided it was not aimed at me, and found better things to do. They didn't look anything like that at the time!

the third is very good indeed, those after half-decent, the first two sucked.

by amazing coincidence the books follow roughly the same pattern

oh, apologies: Goblet of Fire is probably the worst book I've read in a decade.
50 pages of actual story crammed into 750 pages of pointless fluff

Indeed not, I am similarly clueless.

Me. I haven't seen them. (Read the first two books, went "meh" a third of the way into the third, took a violent aversion to the whole franchise over-marketing exercise thereafter.)

So which of these actors is which, and what are they famous for?

They are the three leading actors/actress in the Harry Potter movies.

Thanks, but which one is which name?

From left to right: Rupert Grint (Ron = utter dork), Emma Watson (Hermione = highly styled), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry = naturally charming).

Thanks. I couldn't decide between dork and natural charm... the guy on the left is gurning somewhat, but the one on the right has a weird formal footwear with too-long jeans thing going on and looks a bit Mr Bean, as though he's been dressed up and told to smile but doesn't quite know why. At least the one on the left seems to be wearing comfortable clothing. And given that the girl is all dressed up, maybe the casual look is a bit over-geeky for the occasion...

See I'd go for
Grint: Happy to be here
Watson: Can't walk in these shoes
Radcliffe: hungover

Yeah I can see that too.

Watson is the kind of person I'd never have been friends with at school, whereas Radcliffe and Grint strike me as the sort of people that it'd be cool to have a pint with – at least from this photograph!

for consistency, hermoninny should have the poppy pinned to her boob >:)

potter looks like he's trying to dress up as neil gaiman.

i guess the more you're trading off being in the spotlight, plus gender double standard, equals how much you dress up/give a shit?

To me:
Watson is done up a little too much. Feels like she should have done it down a little to match her castmates.
Grint actually looks like he belongs where he is. He's the only one that doesn't look like he's trying too hard.
Radcliffe looks like the dork. The too-long pants and leather jacket don't suit him at all. He also appears to be quite hungover.

Dear Emma Watson: Please, please stop trying to look ten years older than you are. Please. It doesn't suit you. You'll look great when you get there but there's no need to rush it.

Watson is perfectly placed to reverse this fairly awful trend. Such a shame she choses not to

Traditional, no. It's not uncommon, particularly among those who have or desire or admire celebrity status. And yes, magazines thrive on that, because without it they couldn't exist. That doesn't make it any less stupid or problematic, however.

Grint looks perfectly comfortable in an 'I totally don't have to care what you might think' sort of way. I like this

Watson looks like she's wearing an iron maiden made of velvet and struggling to balance in the heels. Not classy

Radcliffe always looks like he's just come out of a coma and hasn't figured out his body yet. But *terribly* happy to be here.

Watched Rupert Grint on "Top Gear" recently and he seems like such a relaxed sort. Any guy who'd own an ice cream truck is okay by me...

I think she looks amazing, actually. Dress would work better if it were floor-length, but I adore this shot of her.
