The response to the Warren Ellis thing is "Zack Snyder"

However, I do find it generally slightly embarassing watching superhero movies, particularly high camp ones like X Men. It somehow just seems really silly.

Aaah, gotcha. Yeah, the silly/stupid line is a thin one - and there are definitely bits of the X-Men movie that cross it.
