I recently finished Fable II which was reasonably enjoyable but also slightly irritating. I guess it had the same problems for me as the Jasper FFord novel I read: it seems to have a big sign hanging over, flashing lights and everything, saying 'Look at me, aren't I funny!' Honestly, I found FII humour just a little too infantile - I stopped finding farts funny when I was about 8.

So I will probably play Fable III at some point but I'll quite happily wait until the price comes down. Anyway, I've promised myself to hold off buying any new games until I've cleared some of the backlog!

I somewhat concur. The fart jokes are a bit pathetic, though I quite like a lot of the humour in the dialogue.
