At least they spelt 'naive' correctly.

And some amusing fonts.

It's stuff like this that sets off my 'some Americans are so *stupid*' button. Goodness, they need to improve their history and political science teaching.

If I knew photoshop I'd shop myself into that billboard.

Because, honestly, I've always wanted to be a radical leader who preys on the fearful and naive.

So, clearly they are stupid. But I like that their name is almost North, I Await A Party. (Get a move on, North! :-)

Not all Americans are ignorant and fearful of change, twisting historical fact as gospel to be used to their liking.

You should note it's one of the Tea Party Billboards in Iowa. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/07/13/AR2010071304213.html)

I thought the Republicans were selling their message of 'change' too. In fact that's pretty much all I ever hear politicians go on about. So they're damned hypocrites.

And has Marxist Socialism ever been implemented (properly)?

I love that it looks like Lenin is wearing a big ol' state-fair-sized political campaign button. I can totally picture him glad-handing and kissing babies and posing for photo opportunities.

At least it's honest though. I mean, from what I've seen the Tea Party's platform is basically "I'M ANGRY AND I'M FRIGHTENED AND I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND POLITICS!" I'd say this sums that up pretty well.

But then don't they also prey upon fear and lack of understanding?

Oh, undoubtedly. The irony of accusing your political opponents of preying on fear and naivete while invoking the ooky-spooky spectres of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union is pretty staggering.

I'd say you summed it up exactly. Teabaggers will scream all day about what they're against, but can't tell you what they are for. Because when you are scared, when you are pissing your pants afraid, you don't think-you react.
