Jane was down in London today for her team Christmas lunch. So she was
up at 4:30 to catch a 7am flight.
I, also, woke up at 4:30, and for no good reason couldn't get back to
sleep again.
And so I lay there until 6:50, then woke two children up, fed them,
dressed them, got them to school/nursery, went to work, did a WPF
training course, took part in a DEI meeting, helped some people out
with a migration I'm working on, got a bus back across town and picked
the kids up again, took them home, fed them, watched Octonauts with
them, brushed their teeth, and put them to bed.
And for the second time ever (and first time where he didn't scream
and cry at me) got Gideon to sleep by myself.
And now I'm downstairs writing this, listening to Gideon cough
upstairs, wondering if he'll cough himself awake or get into a deeper
sleep, and tracking Jane's flight back (currently above the Yorkshire
Dales).
