Erin just perfectly summed up why people prefer arguing on the internet to real life:

Because it vents my frustration but doesn't affect my life..

Addendum when back from the pub -

Doesn't affect it directly anyway - there's nobody hanging over you, getting angry in your face. There's no direct comeback. There's no time pressure, so you can relax and take your time in replying. There's not even pressure to reply. So it can affect your life, but unlike face to face arguments, it doesn't have to.

That's where it started. Both me and Erin are obviously going at it hamer and tongs in the online argument - but we're getting on just fine in real life. I came over and gave Erin a large hug while she was in the middle of replying to my last entry.

We then talked about it, and she said what started this whole thread off.

Good! Gotta admit, it was starting to worry me. And I was feeling a little guilty too. Glad you're both OK IRL.
