It's weird seeing Neil Gaiman post from a convention you're at.  Like the crossing of a fictional world and my own.  I'm not entirely sure I believe he's a real person (despite having exchanged a few words with him on five or six occasions).

Today I'm off to work in The Green Room for a couple of hours, and then I'm on a panel on which books make good movies, then I'm free to go to things until 6:00, when I'm moderating "The year's movies in review." which should be entertaining.

I found out last night that I'm _moderating_ the panel Monday called "You're reading it wrong." which has Charles Stross, Tanith Lee and Farah Mendelsohn on it.  Which is going to be slightly nerve-wracking.

Right - shower and breakfast time - with any luck I can see most of China Mieville's guest of honour speech...

Before I go though - interesting article here on how children are badly behaved because their parents aren't, well, parenting. And I suspect the parents aren't doing so because (a) they haven't grown up around many kids and (b) they were badly parented themselves.  Time for a reboot, methinks.

I let Paul Cornell persuade me that season two of Torchwood was worth watching.

What was I drinking???

Generally I'm not blown away by meeting people. Mostly I just enjoy chatting to all and sundry. But watching Neil Gaiman chatting to Geoff Ryman about The Graveyard Book just left me unable to sit there with a big grin on my face.
