This #9 issue, the new "Manifest Destiny", in my view, is a sign of the US going weaker. Not that fast, but it's a sign of decline. I wonder if they mention China as the main growing force, but anyway. We will see who lands on the Moon next. I sincerely hope that the US will lose. I hope that these idiots will start to attempt controlling high tech.

But no guarantees. Maybe we are getting into very dark ages.

I think it is bound to be a positive. It's a relatively modest fund with modest numbers of housing units proposed. So it can help if it is competently done but it's not going to breakanything major if it is very badly done.

If successful then it points the way to a long term marginal improvement in Edinburgh's housing situation. Probably that is unless the prospect of long term improvements to social housing stock put off private developers and slows their house building by more than the new social houses. Which I think is very unlikely.

Yeah, it certainly *seems* likely to go well. I can't see what the problems would be. But I am not an expert.
