Just did a personality quiz at the BBC, which told me:

Masterminds create a vision for the future by gathering and organising information. They then develop strategies to achieve their goals. They have a rare gift for looking at almost anything and seeing how it can be improved. These skills and the Masterminds' high standards often allow them to reach leadership positions at work.

Mastermind is the least common personality type in the UK, according to a nationwide survey.

Masterminds value independence and prefer to work on their own. Once they have decided on a course of action, Masterminds rarely change their minds, although they can be persuaded by clear reasoning by someone they respect.

In situations where they can't use their talents or are unappreciated, Masterminds may cut themselves off from a group and criticize people who don't understand their plans. Under extreme stress, Masterminds may overindulge in sensory experiences like eating, shopping or watching television.

Masterminds often have an unusual sense of humour, which arises from their ability to spot surprising links between seemingly unconnected facts.

Which certainly explains my sense of humour.

You'll notice things like rarely change their minds, although they can be persuaded by clear reasoning by someone they respect which is a nicer way of saying "Is bloody-minded and difficult, but can be made to listen to reason if you can manage not to lose your temper with them."

Also: Under extreme stress, Masterminds may overindulge in sensory experiences like eating, shopping or watching television.  Or in my case, finding a way to resync the sound in the Dr Who episodes I got off the Tivo and playing Zelda...

Take it yourself here.

I just attached Ed's machine to our multimedia network using a pair of Medion media senders (connects any SCART output to any SCART input) - thus saving me having to drill a hole in the wall.  Just £25 at the moment, and the quality is fine (mind you, I'm only transmitting about 4 feet, even if that is through a wall).

Anyway, while doing so I noticed that we seem to have a _lot_ of cables, gadgets and power extenders in that corner of the room, so to get a handle on it I knocked up a quick diagram.
Any suggestions for what else I need?

Question just asked on TV (for a phone-in poll):
Which of these phrases does _not_ appear in The Bible?
A)Let there be light.
B)Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's donkey.
C)Oh no, my wife's gone salty.

Amusingly, when typing those in, I felt a definite urge to capitalise the initial letter of each word.  Dang my early Christian schooling.

I sent the piece I wrote at work on our new development methodology to a few people, one of whom forwarded it to our manager (with my permission) who liked it enough that she's forwarding it on to a few other people.

So I put a copy of it on my website, where you can find it under Agile Development

It's nice to feel appreciated for this kind of thing :->

Tonight, the ever-cuddle [livejournal.com profile] eduard_green is appearing at Vaudeville at The Bongo Club - last time he was there he was part of the audience participation and was so successful that they asked him back to do the same thing - officially.

So I've been dressed up and am being dragged out to what the young kids call 'a good time'.

Pray for me, I may not be back until _after 11_.
