I like nice helpful people who listen to new ideas.

At work we use the Liberum help desk. It's a GPLd helpdesk that runs off of ASP and SQL (or access). We were looking for a helpdesk to make our lives easier and found this one. And rather good it is too (especially for free).

What's even better, however, is the fact that when I went to the forums and described a feature that Id find useful, one of the developers agreed with me, and then told me that as it was a simple change, it'd be in the next version.

Now that's service.

I've stolen that title from a rather good Guardian Article about Enemas.

I'd be fascinated to read an article by a doctor/scientist or two about how good this is for you. It sounds like you really are filled with a lot of gunk you really shouldn't be, and this is a fantastic way of getting rid of the strange things that build up inside you (and 22 year old marbles), I'm just wondering what other stuff is washed out that shouldn't be.

Anyway, the article is fantastically good, and held me transfixed to the very end. Warning, it's a bit icky.

While searching for the answer to a tricky problem with a PC at work, I came across a Microsoft knowledgebase article that was absolutely, totally and utterly useless.

Basically the upshot of it is, if your PC isn't working, then either:
a)Your hardware is broken
b)Your antivirus software is broken
c)Some other piece of software is broken

Well, great. Tell me something I don't know.

Amazon just mailed me a special offer, where for £12.99 I can any of The Fast and the Furious, Planet of the Apes, Swordfish, Ghost or Kylie Minogue - Live in Sydney.

I wonder if they have another deal where by for £12.99 they can come round and leave Tom Clancy Novels and Celine Dion albums lying around for my friends to find.

Amusingly, if I go to the site itself, their recommendations are for Crouching Tiger, Buffy Season 3, and the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 boxed set, indicating that they do actually know what I like.

Which makes the offer all the more baffling.
