Someone just left a comment on my journal in Russian.

I'd like to know whether it's spam or not. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Cheers for the advice. Have deleted it as spam.

My translator came up with:

it was pleased

[vobshcheto ] not all correctly you described:)

Their own LJ posts don't seem spammish when translated, but don't make 100% sense either. If they're spam, they suck at it. They post no links, and have no friends. Unsure what to make of it...

Links are all hidden using CSS- search engines will see them, we won't.

Google Translate isn't helping...

I'm hazarding, "I like your links but they are not all correct"?

View source:
[div style="display: none;">[a href="h t t p:// klavi atura.pp.ua"> голые мамочки в возрасте фото [/a> [a href="h t t p://klev eta.pp.ua"> галерея спермы на лице [/a>

Broken all the links there.

It's spam. If it's in Russian, delete and mark as spam, replies in a language not of the post are pretty close to be guaranteed spam, but the hidden links in there are tricky.

Suspect LJ might do a code change to strip display:none from comments fairly soon.

I should really check the comments before posting ... :-(

It's spam. No shadow of a doubt about it. The usual type from Russian LJ adbot accounts; easy enough to block.

Definitely spam. Look at the source, it's got a link in there hidden so that it doesn't display to the user. Delete/Ban/Report.

I'd treat it as spam even without the other signs; the poster's profile shows a new account with no Friends listed and no Communities followed other than the stock 3 you get when signing in, and he/she/it is posting to old journal entries with comments that don't relate to the contents. Those are key spammer indictators.

-- Steve's dealt with such posts before, sadly.
