Okay. We know the Master is in it. We know the Doctor regenerates. We know from the past that the Doctor regenerates when something bad and life-threatening happens to him

How do these things put together not making it blindingly, staggeringly obvious that the Master will be responsible for the Doctor nearly dying?

I don't have a tv, so I manage to avoid almost all ads. :) Being in Ireland, I even miss the Radio Times' clumsiness.
