Anyone want to recommend me a decent online site that would allow me to store a family tree and share it with family members?

Funny you should mention that. I just got 'family historian 3' software package for xmas. The basic file format used in genealogy is called a 'gedcom' file. That's what you want to be looking for if you want to share it.
