Given a choice between being stuck in a lift with the Right Rev. Briggs, and good ol' Dickie Dawkins, I know which I'd prefer.

Purely coincidentally, I just dropped £25 in the direction of the Atheist Bus folks.

Please link?

'Atheist Bus Folks'? I have no idea what you're talking about, and I'm curious... (I never quite manage to keep up with LJ, let alone actual news.)

I'm not anti-God nor anti-American, but I *am* anti-rabid-wacko-religious-right people. Is this also going to lead to civil war?

Crazy old West Virginians... they never did get over the Civil War.

They won the civil war.

Admittedly, they're still mostly crazy.

You mean the War of Northern Aggression? Yes, they still call it that in some parts of the South.

I don't mind, it's only talking to lunatic atheists.

Brilliant. Although, I'm not actually anti-God. I'm sure if He existed, He'd be lovely.

I'm stealing this for my blog, if that's ok?

The USA has a constitutional separation of church and state. It is the very first amendment to the United States Constitution...

Do you think someone ought to tell him that Treason is actually defined in the US Constitution (the only crime to be so defined) in Article III Section 3 as:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

I suspect being anti-American and actually levying war are, just maybe, not quite the same thing :)
