The BBC are running some intelligence tests. Well, education tests. But still.

Go here and give it a go...

I feel compelled to point out that I can't spell, but got all the rule based questions right :)

Bloody "accommodation"...

BTW Those are old questions - they have been on the BBC website since 2005.

I seem to remember there are also maths and science questions on the BBC site somewhere.

My old job title was 'Accommodation Manager'. One year during a badge redesign I had to send mine back 4 times. How they managed to misspell it that many times I don't know. Admittedly one was my name wrong, but still...

(also, we had to have about 7 redirects on the department email address as well, even internal users with an addressbook got it wrong regularly)

That explains why the link showed up as having been visited!

19/20. I didn't know that "questionnaire" had two Ns. Not that I ever have much use for a 3-syllable word that means "survey".

20, and I actually find it slightly odd that people get any of those wrong!

Two wrong ! One silly mistake (probably attributable to tiredness), and I thought the question with the long(-)lost brother could just as well have done with an exclamation mark, so there :-)

I made the same mistake.

I thought about that, but I figured the comma was there already, so adding an exclamation point would make it ,!

Definitely a hyphen, although I thought it looked fine without it.

19 - Didn't see the hyphen as being necessary in the "long lost brother" sentence. Oh well.

Long-lost, otherwise it's ambiguous and possibly a lost brother who's long!

Surely a long brother who is also lost would require a comma?
i.e. "long, lost brother"

Hmm, maybe in that case but it's not the best example of that sort of ambiguity. If I wasn't tired I'd think of something!
