This is pretty darn cool - advances in Photosynth that build a 3D scene and then put a load of photos of that scene in it, so that as you move from place to place you see different photos of it.
This is waaay cooler though - using still photos to enhance video footage - it looks at video footage, works out what the 3D world in it looks like, and then uses photos to enhance it. And then allows for all sorts of editing of that footage - including editing of it. The final example (the flower shop) is particularly impressive.
