Well, to be accurate, I'm off to see Neil Gaiman, Tanith Lee, China Miéville and Charles Stross. And to be even more accurate, I'm doing so at next year's EasterCon, which I've just booked a place at.
Should you be thinking "But what's an Eastercon, and why would I be interested?" then take a look at this year's programme to see if there's anything that might attract you.

20:00 21:00 Roodee Politics and Ethics in Ankh-Morpork How does Ankh-Morpork actually work? Is there anything we should adopt from it? What would it really be like to live there? Are there any bits of it that, however amusing, are deeply unacceptable?
09:00 10:00 Kings Songs of Praise If you'd rather stay in the con than go to church, or just feel nostalgic for primary school assemblies, come and join in. Musicians and lead singers especially welcome.
Damn. I'm busy. Really busy.
And far away.
Woe is me. O still my tears of regret and pangs of um, something.
;-)
I'm kinda concerned they've left the discussion about what Eastercon is to the second day. Surely either you'd want it first, or not at all?

Date: 2007-06-05 09:26 pm (UTC)The Politics and Ethics in Ankh-Morpork, on the other hand, was fascinating. Especially as we had a few people working in internation relations/high ranking civil service around the place.
