I left work a little early today so I could get home and put shelves up with Ed.  We'd bought a Jigsaw, some wall mountings and some brackets, taken apart the old bookshelves we had, and cut them to fit the recess in the living room.  Ed then went away for the weekend before we could actually hang everything, but we spent 40 minutes this evening putting it all up before he headed off to night classes.  It looks much better than it did before.

I then settled in with dinner, a cat, and Frasier.  Ed seems to have turned me into an addict, and now I'm delighting in the repeats constantly on Cable.  Not only is the acting a delight to watch, but because they're all basically variants on a few farcical themes I'm really enjoying trying to work out how each variant is going to play out, and how the finely balanced structures that Fraser or Niles has built up is going to collapse each time.

How is all the DIY going? Did you get the bathroom sorted?

Cool! It's a short step from DIY to OCD, so watch yourself! :)

hmm yes, Frasier walks that edge very neatly. you know the kind of comedy I hate, and Frasier could have been too close to that - but somehow isn't...
