Damn. I certainly liked the -idea- of a faithful movie version of the book.

Can't wait to see the modern one.

The review by MaryAnn Johanson is nearly exactly how I felt about the movie - right down to wanting to see it again _right away_. It was kind of like that feeling when you get off a roller coaster and stand right back in line again.
