Against All Odds
Feb. 16th, 2005 08:34 amWell I'm not 100% convinced by the new Hitchhiker's Guide trailer, but I'm happy to say that Ford actually seems about right, as does everyone else. It's not the book, but it seems to be taking much the same jumping off points and touching on similar bits and pieces as the book/tv series/radio series (which were also all different to each other). It looks generally 'larger' and more visually oriented, but I'm willing to give that a go.
Anyway, take a look at the trailer here (I've removed the trailer from the surrounding Amazon page, so it's full screen)

Date: 2005-02-16 12:38 pm (UTC)Modern films (and TV) seem obsessed with unsing the latest SFX, which often cost a fortune, when an old fashioned model would do just as good a job, something I think George Lucas in particular needs to rermember.

Date: 2005-02-16 09:34 am (UTC)And I'm 90% totally sold on this trailer. I really liked it a lot.
I dug that quick shot of them slipping through space from ship to ship. I haven't read the books in several years, but that sequence came flooding back during the trailer.
I gotta dig through my garage to find my big D. Adams tome...
