Well, I mean, so would I, but I guess that the set of people who would go for it is largely male. I'm reminded of when I first got online and kept getting emails that said roughly "Hey, you're a woman who likes science fiction and beer! We have so much in common. I'm a second-year engineering student at Brunel..."

I don't agree that the set of people who would go for it is largely male. If I didn't have a current boyfriend, I'd totally email him. The unique presentation, and entertaining content are enough to tell me that he might be an interesting person. I think that would be appealing to a lot of girls. After all, when you first meet someone in person, you don't know much else about them.

The "hey, you're a woman... etc" emails only bothered me because of what they revealed about the person sending the email.
