I don't usually drink (alcohol) if I'm going out dancing. Alcohol makes me dehydrated and if I've had more than a couple of drinks I tend to end up having to stop after a few minutes as I start to feel unwell.

I perform folk English Country folk dances at our local Medieval Fair.

I've been doing it for more than 13 years. I've been the director of dance and trained other directors of dance and taught performers and patrons and children to dance for ages.

But modern dancing? Completely impossible.

Or you can pick bands that play stuff you can medieval-dance to. Some friends and I once started to do a medieval-era dance to something that Boiled in Lead played.
