I steal links from _everywhere_. I tend to go back through my friends list, opening cool looking links in other tabs (praise Firefox!) and then go through the links afterwards. If I find ones I like then I post them on my journal.

This is very efficient, but it means that when I post the link I frequently have _no idea_ where it came from. This isn't a huge problem to me, as most of the links turn up in multiple places, so I don't feel they're the property of any one person, but I am aware that people can feel that I'm stealing their links.

So I'd just like to say thankyou to all the people who put links on their journal, sorry for not crediting you, and feel free to steal links from me without credit - I don't feel like I own them, they belong to the people who created them in the first place.

You might like to raid the [livejournal.com profile] linkfrenzy archives, also.

I have the same attitude to linking as you, but in large part it's also due to the enormous amount of sites I might visit in a day of researching, and the large amount of site recommendations I get by email. I do try and maintain a "source-list" of frequently-referenced sources on the LinkFrenzy Info Page, but there's no way I could even begin to record sources for many of my links.

Just thinking about it and I need a drink...

Ah, but I rip off links from you, too.
