1) The problem with the theory that concludes this article is that it suggests that dick pics should be attractive to women, which they rather famously are not.

Yes, I'm not convinced either. It rather indicates that there are sufficient women who decide whether to have sex based on the look of a penis. Which is not my understanding.

As I used to understand that theory, the ability to get an erection is a health marker. And obviously in practicality, no erections would mean no offspring. So no bone means, maybe, that less healthy men sire fewer children. No attraction event required.

The LOOK of a penis was never a big attractor for me, but back in my younger and hornier days, the presence of a healthy erection did seem to signal that I was at least in with a chance! :-).
