Even programmers are good in Uruguay. Some kind of economy freedom and common sense probably (I'm not planning to watch long videos, sorry).

Some towns in Uruguay have a surpring number of people with German surnames, and a founding patriarch who came to the country in the 1940's and never, ever set foot in Europe again.

I wonder if the USA's suppression of Latin America economic development and civil society in the 1950's and 60's was, somehow, tailored to work around those perceived as stalwarts in 'the fight against Communism'.
