What was particularly interesting was that on some of them I had to let my eyes "settle". They'd see a wall of colour, get overloaded, and then after about 10 seconds I'd easily see the line. Oh, and I'm much better with shades of green than with shades of blue.

the red ones I find very "bright" and I needed a bit of eye movement to get them.

3. 0.0041 with lots of looking.
The thing is a colour vision researcher diagnosed me as having "weak red cones" supposedly giving me poor colour vision, which I call "colour partially sighted".
This was tested nearly fourty years ago with slit lamps and standard color devices as well as computer monitors.

My tablet has a very shiny screen so I intend to try again on my computer moniter and see if it makes a difference.

0.0143 first time and 0.0078 second time on the 4K computer monitor.
Then I closed the blinds on the window behind the monitor and got 0.0054
cf 0.0041 Thursday on the tablet.

My right eye problem is playing up today.
I found the cursor very hard to see on the monitor, partly because it was so small.

The monitor is a low end Philips and the tablet is a quality Samsung.

Summary: in spite of my diagnosis I have good colour discrimination and test conditions are a significant factor in my results.

Finally got rid of the principle of hereditary membership yesterday. But only by agreeing to convert some of them into life members. So good and frustrating.

0.0046 the first time. Then trying a lot harder, taking much more time, and trying with glasses for ones which were hard (not sure if they helped or not), got 0.0026 the 2nd time.
