1. I am not a big fan of that mural, but I doubt that planners are allowed to consider artistic merit.

It is not a big picture, but since the (top right) eagle has a white head I agree with The National that it is an American Bald Eagle rather than a (UK*) White-Tailed Eagle

*I believe some Scottish birds have been known to commute across the Irish Sea.

So let's say the US does something that causes NATO to "collapse." What's left? Well, the EU plus the UK and Norway are already acting together for defense of NATO territory, so that's basically the European side of NATO. If Canada joins in, that means NATO hasn't collapsed, just that the US has flounced out of it.

Here's hoping that the Tangerine Terror gets bitch-slapped hard! Even if it causes the US hardship, we deserve it and maybe - just MAYBE - some firm European trade response to the US idiocracy about tariffs will detach some political cowards from their remora-like suction on the tRUMP.

I do think we're at the stage where either Europe stands up to him, or we end up as vassals.

If we can persuade him that he's getting what he wants, without giving things to him, then I can live with that too. Fingers crossed!
