It's nice to see that Ms Black has some spine at least!

1. That's a shame. We need people like her to stay in politics, keeping hold of their compassion and liberalism, and not leaving the arena to the wee frees, the grifters and the far right.

On number 3: thank you! I really should have looked into this many years ago, but it had never occurred to me to do so.

It's directly relevant for me, because when cooking for the SCA, I tend to favor the Islamic cookbooks. (Which were, as a general rule, way more interesting than those from the Christian countries.) And one of the most common ingredients there is "tail of fat lamb". Now I actually know what that is talking about...
