Here in the US, we have worse health outcomes in Republican-controlled areas, and worse health outcomes for Republicans even in Democratic areas: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/may/29/republican-healthcare-trust

If you look at the local life expectancy map from 2015 (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data-visualization/life-expectancy/index.html, choose the "static map" option), we have a *range* of life expectancies from 56.9 to 97.5. Yes, most places range from 75 to 81, but that's still a six-year difference! Our health systems are a mess.
