The solar power photos?

Some of those solar panel pictures scare me.
The first one in particular, with a hillside covered in panels. Yes, we need to move away from fossil fuels, but I regret a world where hills are covered by man-made stuff.

I wonder how quickly the dunes of the Gobi desert in picture five will affect and then bury the panels.?

At least several of these solar farms are raised and allow agriculture or wildlife to continue beneath them.

I remember reading about black plastic balls being used to cover reservoirs in the US; perhaps to reduce evaporation. Maybe solar panels will have the same effect.

It should only be a small percentage of land that gets covered in solar panels. And we don't have a lot of choice at this point, unless we want global warming to end civilisation as we know it.
