How long does the walk take? I miss enforced walks to work/station

If I walked from Sophia's school (Canaan Lane) to the office (Orchard Brae) then it would take about an hour. But I get a bus for 3/4 of that (to the top of Lothian Road), and then I walk the last fifteen minutes if the weather is nice and there are no buses soon. I'd walk more, but as I drop her off at 8:30 and pick her up at 5:30-ish time is constrained at both ends.

Nice! 15-20 mins is perfect. Any more than 40 becomes a chore, I find.

AH. I've had a look on Google StreetView.
I mis-parsed the inward arms of the spikes as being a couple of feet below the parapet.
