The lovely thing about the Texas grid is that it's entirely privatised. So this isn't local government doing it, it's private businesses deciding that solar and battery is the way to go.

It's been a pain in a lot of backsides...and you're thinking this is how they get out of this mess?

The only thing I'm thinking is that it's awesome that even somewhere where there are no government subsidies it still makes sense to go with solar and batteries.

There's a lot of solar energy in Texas. I've been there in August.
