The Church of England trends from 2019 to 2023 show only one statistic that is unambiguously increasing: funerals.

And regular attendance is now only 1% of the total UK population (about 1.2% of the total English population).

This is clearly a dying institution.

Of COURSE the eventual aim is to replace artists by AI for all "background" type music - and as much of the rest as these shitty shitty companies can get people to accept. I don't know what AI is gonna steal once they've driven out most artists - but that's next decade's hype bubble cycle ...
