yes, I've heard stories from disabled people Canada about disabled people who did NOT have terminal illnesses being pressured to consider MAID (medically assisted dying).

There's a problem I've noticed with fact checking headlines, where they either repeat the claim or the negation of the claim and the phrasing of it can make it confusing. I haven't read the article so don't know if that's part of the issue, but yeah. The headline writers of the fact checks need to standardize on phrasing... Or do better, because it's not clear sometimes. It's frustrating so you have to read the article to make sure it says what you think, etc...

2) I'm reminded of the tip I was given when learning to write academic papers: if you have to present a theory or idea you vehemently disagree with, be sure to quote it directly rather than paraphrase it, to avoid the possibility of any misunderstanding that it's your own belief. But it seems that AI is not capable of grasping that something is a quotation.

I'd expect a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle pressure, whether religious or not, on the elderly infirm by their heirs, to accept being, shall we say, put to sleep in order to "not be a burden" on their families or on the State. And eventually a reduction in funding for hospices, end-of-life care, and possibly even care provisions for some kinds of chronic illness and critical injury.
