Thank you for the microbiome paper.

I wonder, especially in the metabolic studies, whether they fed the recipients what the donors were eating. Without their regular chow, wouldn't the critters just up and die?

That's an excellent question. I don't know how much diet affects your microbiome, versus what's just gotten a toehold there.
